“We are honored to be able to support such an important organization in our community,” said Alexander Heckler, co-founder of LSN Partners.

Miami Beach Commissioner Deede Weithorn will be chairing this event and participates in the Dolphins Cycling Challenge annually.  Her connection to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center began in 2011 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Today, Ms. Weithorn is in her third year post-treatment and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center was where she turned in her time of need.

“The staff at Sylvester treated me with compassion, and is our community’s best medical center for cancer patients – and the only academically based cancer center in South Florida,” said Commissioner Weithorn.  “This year, I will ride 100 miles to honor City of Miami Beach Police Officer David King, who died this year from colon cancer.  I encourage everyone to participate in the ride and donate to the cause, as every dollar counts and together we can raise money to ensure that there are more survivors.”

Please RSVP no later than January 13, 2015 to LaurenCarra@MiamiBeachFL.gov.  When submitting your RSVP, please include shoe size.  Flywheel Sports will generously provide towels, showering facilities and spinning shoes for this event.  A minimum donation of $50.00 per cyclist is requested for this event.
